In the Details: Dolly Pearl

>> Monday, December 12, 2011

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I did spend part of  the weekend decking my home in holiday splendor. I was also thinking about this weeks In the Details post and while there are plenty of adjectives that come to mind for the beautiful dresses from Dolly Pearl, the descriptors that stay with me are modern and romantic.

I discovered Dolly Pearl while in search of some inspiration for a previous In the Details post and just fell in love with the beautiful wedding and bridesmaids dresses on the site.

I will admit, I love wedding gowns full of details but sometimes simple and well placed  design details add character to a wedding dress, and that is what had me smitten with these lovely dresses.

If you're looking for dresses that are romantic, chic and modern let these beautiful dresses give you a little inspiration.

Friday Faves

Happy Friday everyone.  Well, if you're looking at the calendar and realize how close it is to Christmas and Hanukkah, and you're in a bit of a panic, fret not lovely readers this weeks favorites may help you out with those last few people on your list.

Everyone needs plenty of mugs for tea, coffee and cocoa so why not something colorful like these

Lovely gifts need pretty wrap and gift tags.  If you're looking to take your gift wrapping up a notch, start with these adorable tags from the MStetson Design pop up shop.  These tags are handmade from white polymer clay and stamped with a birthday or holiday greeting.  It's like another gift on top of the gift you're all ready giving... too much?  OK I'll dial it back.  I have been hit with the holiday spirit.  Definitely be sure to check out this lovely shop

Now if you're looking for a unique gift this chess set would be lovely.  Not only is is ready to play a round or two, but it's also a lovely decorative piece for the home.

I don't know anybody who doesn't like their monogram or initial on something.  These alphabet trays are perfect for a desk, dressers, bathrooms, you name it.

If you're looking to do a little DIY or for a fun little DIY gift, try this cocktail kit

or if you want a fun novelty gift, I think this smiley mug is perfect.

Now it wouldn't be right in the midst of all that gift giving that you don't think about a few things to add to your own wish list.  If you need some ideas, start with  this

Maybe a stylish and very functional dress like this

Well, that's it for this week.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I'll see you here on Monday.

I first saw this purse on the oh so lovely blog the Demoiselle, and really have been smitten ever since.  Now, I'm a girl who loves a good carry-all purse and this bag puts all my carry-alls to shame.

The Fashion Foie Gras tote was designed by Coach and the author of the blog the bag is named after.  I think what blew me away is the nice side compartments for your camera and shoes.

Dear Santa, I'd love to see this bag under the tree.  xo

In the Details: Inspired by Red

>> Monday, December 5, 2011

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I still can't believe it's December or that the Holidays seem to be right around the corner.  Slowly but surely I'm getting into the holiday spirit, but realize I might want to pick up the pace.  What better way to start than with some red color inspiration?

Of course red isn't relegated to just the holidays, it's one of those colors that works year round and is lovely when paired with pinks, blues, oranges, greens and my new personal favorite gray.

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope you had a wonderful week. Getting back into the swing of things after the holiday was a bit of a struggle but I'm delighted to share some favorites with you this week, since I didn't last week.  Now that the holiday season is in full swing, Friday Favorites for December, will be all about lovely gift ideas, stocking stuffers, or things you want to add to your own holiday wish list.  I'll cut the chatter and start sharing some pretty things like these

I know a canister seems out of place on a holiday gift list but this would be perfect for a friend who loves to bake or maybe a little gift for you because your kitchen could use a bit more color ;)

Speaking of baking and food, these wonderful one-of-a-kind gift sets from One Sydney Road, would be excellent for that baker or foodie on your list.

Dear Rifle Paper Co., Oh how I love every piece of beautiful stationery you create!  I saw these via Twitter this week and just swooned.

This stationery set would make a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for your friend who loves all things paper.  If you're looking for more paper gift giving ideas, this set of  French cards is another delightful gift option.

If your holiday plans include hosting a holiday celebration I think these plates would be perfect for serving sweet holiday treats.

I think these plates would make your Holiday table that much more festive.

Need a bit more sparkle, try these

Well, that's it for this week, I hope you have a splendid weekend and I'll see you here on Monday.
