Blog Action Day: Poverty

>> Wednesday, October 15, 2008

This year I signed up to be a part of Blog Action Day. This years cause is all about Poverty. Keeping in tune with Pretty Little Things purpose, I found some great things that will not only look good but also provide the aide that is needed.

Tall Leather Bucket Bag is yet another bag perfect for travel and with the Holidays coming up, I am usually looking for a great bag that I can cart all my things in. Plus by purchasing this bag a portion of the proceeds will aide in purchasing food for countries that are in need.

Organic Cotton Wrap Dress perfect for anytime of day or season. Plus why not wear something that is good for you while benefiting others who are in need.

While these items are small, it's purchases like these that aide in providing work, and food in countries that are in need and with each little purchase you can help so many.

>> Thursday, October 11, 2007

Thanks Lucky Me for tagging me for the Green Challenge. I know you've seen these post on various blogs already so instead of tagging others I hope other bloggers will share what they're doing to introduce environmental sustainability in their life.

1.Instead of opting for paper or platic I bring my own bags to the grocery store.

2.I also have recently started to minimize the energy I use in my house from my laundry to my thermostat.

3.I use energy efficient lightbulbs throughout my house.

4.Of course, recycle.

my latest thing to stop buying and using water bottles especially after seeing that picture posted by Blue Orchid Designs Thanks I was inspired even more!

So What are you doing?
