In the Details: Destination Weddings
>> Monday, October 25, 2010
There is a certain allure to Destination Weddings. From exotic locations to far away places, for some the destination wedding is a perfect option and what I'm inspired by this week.
Of course you need a dress that is ready for travel
A creative way to communicate with guest about your destination and nuptials
Why not infuse some of the local culture and/or traditions into your wedding
Allow your location to set the theme or predict your decor
offer your wedding party a lovely keepsake to remember the location and wedding
Most important of all make sure to take care of your guest with a lovely welcome bag filled with items perfect for your destination
in addition to a welcome bag also include a list of who's who so guest can get to know each other.
Not interested in a welcome bag? Why don't you greet guest at check in with this welcome box.
If you are in the DIY spirit try these directions for making your own welcome bags.
While the guest list may be smaller, that shouldn't stop you from infusing your creativity and personality into your special day. Plus, a lovely location has a way of inspiring wonderful and out of the box ideas.

What great ideas!! Great post! I love your suggestion to make a list of "who's who"...
Hi Chesapeake Chic I'm glad you liked the ideas, I think the who's who list is a perfect way to engage guest.
