It's not you... It's me.

>> Friday, January 30, 2009

It's not that I don't have anything to say or post on my blog, it's that I don't know where to begin. I've got a list of lovely things to share and not enough time. Let's start with this bedding I coooed over at Anthropologie so much so {or loud enough} that a lady near me started talking about how she spends time in Anthropologie daydreaming and redecorating her house and I quickly agreed.

I'm itching to re-decorate rooms and do some painting but I'm holding out until Summer to start really seriously taking action, so until then... we'll daydream and make list.

This Chika Hothouse Bedding caught my eye. It's so colorful and lively that I wondered if it be too much but I kept gravitating back to it so I'm thinking these colors were the reason.

Shortly after being beguiled by the Chika Hothouse Bedding, I discovered the Sketchbook Bedding, Ochre. I'm identifying a pattern. Not only is it floral, but I'm thinking that the color hue, yellow needs to be on my list of colors when I start painting.

While I continued gazing from one lovely thing to the next, I resided to the sale bins and then my recessionista self started plotting a plan for recreating these lovely things on a budget. If you have any ideas, suggestions or tips... I'm open.

Will You Be My Valentine?

>> Monday, January 26, 2009

I remember when I was in elementary school we'd take a part of the day to not only create a Valentine's day cards for our friends, family and classmates but we'd also make a stylish bag that would hang in the classroom until Valentines Day when we would exchange all those lovely handmade cards. While none of us are in elementary school, the sentiment can still mean just as much when friends, family and secret crushes receive a Valentine in the mail. Need some inspiration? Here's a few favorites...

Something Blue

>> Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Hello friends. While I took the day off blogging yesterday to celebrate and reflect for MLK Day, I wanted to post one new lovely little thing before I enjoy watching the inauguration. I'm in search of new dishware and noticed this Kado Rice Bowls and these Nari Noodle bowls, and I love the color, print and pattern. I think I'm now leaning towards the color blue for my new dishware.

Hand-lettered and Lovely

>> Friday, January 16, 2009

When I saw this yesterday on Paper Crave I swooned. I may have disrupted the others around me, but I couldn't help it, these hand-lettered address stamps are just too lovely. I was immediately thinking of one of these for People St. Clair, but also thought how these would make perfect gifts for Bridesmaids. You could also give this to a friend who has moved into a new home and include a wonderful stack of stationery.

Hello friends. While it may be the weekend, I feel like I've missed out on some posting and wanted to just take a minute to express how I've tried to go without talking about J.Crew on this blog because I do love this store but I can't help it.
