Nothing says love like baking. I saw these oh so cute packaging ideas and thought this is such a creative Valentine to deliver to friends or family. Whether you have the talent to bake from scratch or by the box doesn't matter but think of these cute ideas when it comes to the presentation. Both come from twig and thistle, and they both look delicious!

I remember when I was in elementary school we'd take a part of the day to not only create a Valentine's day cards for our friends, family and classmates but we'd also make a stylish bag that would hang in the classroom until Valentines Day when we would exchange all those lovely handmade cards. While none of us are in elementary school, the sentiment can still mean just as much when friends, family and secret crushes receive a Valentine in the mail. Need some inspiration? Here's a few favorites...

I love the concept behind Civilities by Greer Chicago. The cards are designed to be given to others in hopes that they pass them on to someone else. The valentine inspired "civilities" allow you to spread the love and and ask others to pass it along. Go ahead and make someones day with a unexpected love note and then ask them to do the same.

Words of Love
>> Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Express your love for your sweetie with a poem from this collection of love poems by Pablo Neruda. I spotted this at one of my favorite local stores Paper Skyscraper and just swooned over its loveliness. Find a card or make a card and fill the inside with Neruda's lovely words and your valentine will feel truly romanced by love. {if you need chocolate go ahead and throw it in but the words are really enough}
