In The Details: Calligraphy

>> Monday, January 18, 2010

Let's see, there's no other way to say this. Calligraphy is fabulous. I love calligraphy and love seeing it incorporated in weddings from signage, envelopes invitations or custom maps. But, if you're a Bride on a budget sometimes incorporating calligraphy can only stress out your budget. While envelopes is one way to include calligraphy in your wedding it's not the only way. There are plenty of other ways to incorporate calligraphy without breaking the bank.

Go Digital. Check out Emililie's etsy shop where you can create custom hand-lettered goodness that you can use for your wedding.

With your digital file, you can print everything your heart desires and it all fits within your budget.

Use calligraphy for table numbering or escort cards

Think about using calligraphy for just the signage, table displays or fun little details like cootie catchers.

You can incorporate calligraphy on your cake too with lovely flourishes or sentimental words and phrases.

Create a hand lettered custom stamp with your new addres or married name that can be used for thank you notes and anything else. You know you will need plenty of them.

While you may not be able to use calligraphy for everything that's OK. It's the little details that catch everyone's attention.
