Happy Monday everyone. I hope you had a lovely weekend. When I think of Summer I think of delicious cobblers and pies because of the bounty of fruit available during this season.
Besides developing a bit of a craving for pie, I also thought about how more and more weddings I see are having pie instead of cake.
If you're thinking of having pie at your Summer wedding here are a few ideas of inspiration. Design a beautiful buffet of favorite pies or add a little meaning and have pies that feature recipes by family and friends.
Now if you like pie but still want to have your cake and eat it too, why not mix in a few mini pies to the dessert buffet.
If you want to add in an interesting twist why not give your guest a pie as a wedding favor with the recipe to your guest.
Whether you decide to skip the tired cake of buttercream confection for pie or have both is definitely up to you. Who says you have to have one or the other anyways?
